Can you promote in r/productivityapps?

A place to discuss Productivity and apps to help with it.

The short answer

Participate organically first to build 10 community karma, use the correct flair, disclose your affiliation briefly, make one promotional post per month, and avoid requests for testers or surveys.

What works here

  • One self-promotion post per month if you have >=10 subreddit karma
  • Discussion of apps in planning/development when relevant and non-spammy
  • Sharing released app details or demos with proper flair and quality

What gets posts removed

  • Posting requests for beta testers (use r/betatesters instead)
  • Posting surveys or forms
  • Posting more than one promotional post per month or spamming
  • Posting 'Vibe Coded' apps or anything flagged as insecure
  • Using incorrect flair or low-quality 'Feedback Wanted' posts

Where this comes from

Self-promotion limit

Self-promotion allowed only once a month and requires at least 10 community karma.

No testers requests

Requests for beta testers are disallowed and redirected to r/betatesters.

No surveys

Posts that ask users to fill survey forms are not allowed.

Spam and low-quality control

General ban on spam; low-quality 'Feedback Wanted' flair posts will be removed and wrong flairs cause removal.

Security restriction

Apps classified as 'Vibe Coded' are prohibited due to user-data risk.
