Can you promote in r/hwstartups?
Welcome to the Hardware Startups sub-Reddit - feel free to post on anything that you think will interest anyone in the community. The idea is that we're a blend of r/DIY and r/startups content - like a Hacker News for hardware. Good ideas: hardware news, prototyping/manufacturing how-to, success stories, physical Kickstarter pages, etc. Bad ideas: General startup stuff, DIY articles without a startup angle, TC/VB/etc. link-bait, etc.
The short answer
Provide useful, on-topic technical or startup-relevant content first; brief product or company mentions are acceptable when directly relevant and framed to help the community.
What works here
- sharing hardware news and prototyping/manufacturing how-to
- posting success stories, AMAs, and physical Kickstarter pages
- asking and answering detailed technical or startup questions
What gets posts removed
- purely generic startup content or link-bait (e.g., TC/VB style posts)
- overt/spammy self-promotion without value to readers
- posting content that isn't hardware-startup related
