What works here

  • Answer technical questions and provide free, non-commercial help
  • Share non-promotional resources that directly help the discussion (when clearly not commercial)
  • Participate in community discussions, memes, advice and guidance

What gets posts removed

  • Posting product launches, demos, offers, or promotional links
  • Asking for customers, leads, donations, or recruiting users
  • Self-promotion or advertising that could be perceived as commercial

Where this comes from

No Promotion or Advertisements

Rules say self-promotion isn't allowed and may result in a ban, so vendor/commercial posts are prohibited.

No Donation or Fundraiser Posts

Explicit ban on fundraising or donation requests indicates strict stance on commercial/solicitation content.

Keep posts related to Engineering/Coding/Research/Tech

Content must be relevant to engineering/education/tech, so any outreach should be narrowly topical — but promotional content is still disallowed.

Mod Discretion

Moderators have final say which increases enforcement risk for borderline promotional activity.
